A long weekend of unforgettable celebration featuring the best Puglia has to offer – a wedding day among olive trees, sunshine and sparkling fairy lights, two pre-wedding parties against stunning coastal backdrops, and day-after relaxation around an elegant masseria pool.
Having fallen in love with the region on holiday, the London-based couple approached Madama to help create their dream wedding in Puglia: three days of celebrations taking in all the authentic pleasures and charms of Puglia, while also catering to the every need of their large party of Irish, Jewish and Canadian guests.
At Madama we pride ourselves on our attention to detail, and as ever we delivered: a wedding venue specially decorated with a thousand twinkling fairy lights for a magical mood; a trio of violins during the wedding ceremony, playing arrangements of the bride and groom’s favourite songs; elegant table decorations with roses, succulents and candles, made to the bride’s design; a welcome pack for every guest, including handmade taralli (a regional speciality) and locally-made olive oil.
The couple particularly wanted Jewish traditions recognised as part of the celebrations – we arranged a stunning floral ‘chuppah’ (a traditional canopy under which the bride and groom stand during their ceremony), and handmade ‘challah’ bread for their pre-wedding party.
They entrusted us with selecting their wedding cake, wanting it to be a surprise, and Madama delivered just that – a huge Puglian wedding cake decorated with sugarcraft roses to match the bride’s floral theme. In fact, so well-sculpted were the cake decorations, that guests thought the cake had been decorated with real flowers!
And a final surprise for the bride – fireworks at midnight, marking the end of an amazing day, and the start of a new life together.
